This is prototype 2 of Earth Survivor which was made for Improve my Game Jam #26. During the one-week jam, we added a new player ship, new powerups, additional enemies, bosses, a fresh music track, and a lot of polish.

The original prototype from Mouse Jam #2 and Untitled Game Jam #75  (with the old leaderboard) can still be downloaded below.

Embark on a thrilling interstellar mission to chase down and annihilate Horrors looming from the depths of space, hellbent on invading our cherished home planet. Immerse yourself in the journey as you level up and upgrade your starship, amplifying both its offensive and defensive capabilities. With the destiny of Earth hanging in the balance, it's up to you, the courageous pilot, to avert catastrophe and protect humanity's future from these malevolent extraterrestrial monstrosities. Join the epic battle and become the ultimate savior of our world!

By the time i stopped playing, my finger hurt, great game!

After 40min I stopped because all the upgrades you see are only earth health and I don`t need them^^

fun game!

you should maybe slowly raise the health of the standart little enemy (with recolour?) or right from the get go.

I ignored the dmg upgrades because the "main" enemys are 1 shot so all for attack speed.

Love the visuals and the controls. I already wanted to make a game with similar controls^^

Thanks for the feedback! The balancing definitely still needs some work.

This is the superb game that  I have ever played.

Thank you :)

I really love your game! The art style is great and I love how the power ups work. The movement system was a little hard to get used to for me but that difficulty just added to the fun of the game. I really liked that the earth can help defend itself while you destroy aliens.

Thanks for playing!

Hi really prefered the first music

Hey! You mean the slow music from prototype 1?

Yep

It's no longer in the game, but it's avalaible to listen on YouTube, Soundcloud and other platforms.

Looking great. Quick feedback: the screen shake is too big for me

Thanks for the feedback!

Hey fun game! I loved the action. It took me a while to understand what I had to do, but after I got it I had a lot of fun.
I'd really reduce some of that shaking, I had to stop playing because I was getting dizzy

Thanks for the feedback! Yep you're right, I'll reduce the shaking... it's the first item on my Todo list :)

PS It's already done!

Cool! Let me know when you launch the update!

Already live. Hopefully you can play without getting sick now :)

Fantastic! Now I stopped playing only because I had to leave :P

Are you still interested in working on this game? Would you be interested in publishing it?

WOW!!! All I have to say is wow!!! Great immersion!!

I really enjoyed the game, nice work ! :-)

After a while I became overpowered (couldn't lose anymore) so I consider that I beat the game, likely blinding everyone on Earth in the process due to frequent explosions way bigger than the planet.

Hahaha congrats :)

EDIT may I ask what strategy you used to make it so far? Did you prioritize the Earth homing missiles?

Not really, but I mainly focused on offense while ignoring "useless" upgrades such as anything for the right click because I never used it.

That was super fun! I loved the graphics, the difficulty progression, and the movement was really nice. Once I got to level 9, the enemy swarm had gotten too big to fight off so I finally died. Great job on the game!

Thanks for playing!
